Happy 4th of July!

Wow! What a weekend! It was non-stop with going over to Nonnie's (John's Mom), and going to Evelyn's first fireworks show. We were very nervous about taking her to see the fireworks, but she was doing well all day and so we thought we would chance it. Plus, it's always a great show and we wanted to see them too!
Traditionally, John's family meets at a parking lot of a local theatre called Clague Playhouse, and we sit on the grass. It's a beautiful view because it's right under the fireworks, literally. Last year we got covered in ash! Did I mention we walk there? Yeah, it's about a 20 min walk. With every other person in town. I know we're crazy.
Evelyn did great! She got anxious a couple times, with those loud screaming ones, but who doesn't. It wasn't really until the finale, with the non-stop booms, that she had had it. I was trying to cover her ears, but she was done. As soon as they were over she was ready to go home and go to bed. Which is what we all wanted by that point.
We went downtown on Saturday to the Westside market for some fresh fruits and veggies, and then went to the beach for lunch! Who knew Cleveland could be so fun?
We are now going to the airport to pick up Ta-Ta (my dad). We get 2 whole weeks with him! Hooray! More pics to come soon!
