I'm assuming everyone has been watching the Olympics right? Well a few nights ago we were watching Stud Michael Phelps and teammates win the 4x200 Relay against the French who were talking smack about the US. If you didn't catch it, check it out. The raw emotion and drive to win brought tears to my eyes. Especially since we won!
Anyway, we are lying in bed and just finished watching, and are all pumped up. All of a sudden I turn over and water fills my ear. Seriously, like I just got out of the pool and water is stuck in there. I think to myself "that's weird", and if I tell John then I will feel stupid and he'll think I'm lying and trying to be like Michael Phelps or something.
So we go to bed and the next day the water is there all day, and the next day after that it's still there! So I finally tell John because it's getting annoying and he tells me to put hydrogen peroxide in my ear and it will get out the water. Whoever has heard of this ridiculous home remedy is crazy! I allow him to do it though because I trust my husband, all the while crying and yelling for him to stop. It works, and I'm cured.
Then next morning I wake up and my ear is killing me! Throbbing, aching, shooting pain into my jaw and neck. I'm thinking my husband has poisened me (i didn't even see it coming)! I go to the urgent care and I'm diagnosed with an ear infection or aka "swimmers ear". Truly bizarre since I wasn't near water!!
So I'm now on antibiotics and ear drops, and John has banned me from watching beach volleyball because I may get sand in my eye and scratch my cornea. How weird is that?

That is hilarious!! Pete got a bad ear infection over 4th of July...but he was in the water!! They are not fun :( How long are you going to be in IL?
Dear Michelle. I am writing you to tell you that your story is funny. And so you don't think that I don't care about you because I don't comment on your blog. You big baby.=) Love you!
So, they were right... this story is definately funny, but I preferred the live version (the expression and drama in your voice in person is MUCH better). It was GREAT to see you guys.... so, when you moving back to IL?!!? (wink)
