It's always so fulfilling to see old friends! We had a great time this weekend in IL. Although it was a rough drive back since we didn't leave Chicago until 11pm, and we got home at 5am, it was so worth it.
To explain just what the Monkey Weekend is: Basically, John's group of college roommates and good friends, go on a camping weekend every year. I believe this is the 4th or maybe even 5th annual weekend. Meanwhile all the wives get together as well, since we are also good friends. We are all very close, and dive right in, to catch up, cry, laugh, and enjoy what the others bring to the group. Well the group is getting bigger and bigger with all the babies, but it is so amazing watching them grow up.
We at one point had all 6 wives and 9 children all together! Yes, mayhem, but so great! All the kids are unique and beautiful. We got babysitters one night and hit the town, which was so needed and so much fun. We went to a park another day, and chilled out at home the remainder on the time. What a great group of women I get the honor of calling my friends. Love you girls, so much!
We left late afternoon and stopped in Chicago to see my bestie and college roommate Courtney and her hubby Justin. He is a manager for Big Bowl and blessed us with an amazing dining experience! We were so blessed. Evie and Grady LOVED every second with them and got so exhausted they both slept the entire way in the car ride home!

I always love getting together with old friends and it feels like you haven't missed a beat. That's so great and sounds like SO much fun! And your kids are just freakin' adorable!!! Love you Mish!
Where are Bison?
Bison at Lord's Park in Elgin, it's a beautiful park. You gotta take the kids. They have deer and a petting zoo too! It was closed when we were there though.
