We are headed to Arizona to visit my Dad and Sister and her family. It will be a great 2 and a half week vacation. I'm traveling with the kids, alone, on an airplane, with a lay-over, at bedtime. What am I thinking?!?! I know, I'm crazy, but it will be fine. I'm gearing up with fun games and new toys for tight spaces. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
John will be home alone getting some projects done around the house. I'm happy for him to get some much needed rest and to be able to stay late to work and not feel guilty.
Pray that our trip is safe and smooth. Thank you all, and I'll be back to post some new pics of us in AZ!

Stickers. And a notebook. Those two things keep Emma occupied for a while. Also, I would bring a few "adult" writing implements like sharpies, pens, etc, that she normally isn't allowed to use.
I always pack Emma a small bag of toys in a clear container (like the vinyl pouch sheets come in). That way she didn't have to dump all of the toys out in order to find the one she wanted.
Check anything that isn't absolutely necessary. With that being said, make sure everyone has at least one change of clothes (and at least a fresh shirt for you).
If Evelyn likes music and you have an MP3/ iPod/ CD player, it might be worth it to bring that along.
And snacks. Skittles work great for take off as they are hard to chew which helps the ears pop. For Grady, I would just feed him anything or give him a sippy cup (or nurse if you can get the timing right, I always started to early and Emma was done before we even started to lift off)
That is about all I can think of. Feel free to call if you have questions!
SOOOO excited for you and your AZ adventure!!!! It will be really great to see your family and spend some much needed time with them.... Have fun and can't wait to hear how it all goes!
I hope your trip went well. The last time we were on a plane with kids we brought gummy bears, which helped them deal with the ear popping. Thanks so much for putting me on your blog list! I look forward to getting to know you. Happy day! :)
