We had a wonderful time visiting friends in IL and we didn't take enough pictures. We also didn't get to see everyone we wanted so I do apologize to those we missed. We really tried to pack in as much visiting as we could.
It's so great seeing friends who you don't get to see all the time and get right into life. Who you can talk not just about what you want in life, but the truth of your heart right now. I am blessed to have many great friends around me, but there is something about those friends who have known you before you were a wife, a mom, a "package" of your present life. It's great to remember the "old" you as a kid, then a grownup, a jokester, an athlete (or shadow of), or a rambler. The comfort in not having to tell your family story to them because they already know it and what effect it had or is still having on you. You are a lucky person if you have those friends, if you don't, I would really recommend opening yourself up to get them. They are priceless. And no matter where life takes you and turns you and even changes you, they roll with it because they love you.. for YOU.
