Modified Thursday

Oh... Well it's done! Today was a modified workout almost all the way through. I don't know if I have mentioned before that we don't sleep through the night. Evelyn will wake up at least 2-3x during the week for one of us to come sleep with her. Our boys wake up a least once a night, every night. Grady has night terrors we think, not fun. And Nathaniel pees like a racehorse right through his clothes, all over the bed! Or just comes to our bedside wanting to come in and wanting milk.

John also goes back to work or does work at home once, or this week has gone back to work twice, AFTER the kids go to bed. We are not going to bed at 9 or even 10. It's pretty much 11 if we are lucky every night after all is said and done.

I'm not telling you this because we want you to feel bad for us. Not at all! I even realize that some of you work night shifts or have to stay up a lot longer than we do. We just want you to know that we struggle with the same things everyone else does. Lack of sleep, cranky or scared kids, work, shopping, doctors appointments, extra curricular activities, homework, church, family functions. We are you! We are not any more special or have any more time. We just have made a choice and a full commitment, and we are no longer going to be a slave to our day, but going to OWN our day.

Praying for help ;) We could not squat to well this morning.
My favorite part of the workout, AFTER. Reading the days meals.
Finished and cooling off outside. Sunrise.
Done and moving on with our days. Important things like walking Evie to the bus. :)

I totally agree that you have to "own your excuses"... Every season of life is going to have challenges... Way to stay committed and not succomb to excuses!

Way to push through! Thanks for being real! Your guys' nights sound like ours! Problem is I give in to the excuses my kids provide :( You are an encouragement! And you look beautiful even after your workout!
