Basically, it was a bad workout, for me anyway. Cardio day again, and we were late starting. We were completely silent, our calves KILLED, we were tired from the weekend, I had a cramp, and I had to modify at least once it each exercise. BUT, it's done. It's over and we can go about our day and be ready for tomorrow. Sometimes when you workout it's not always this magical experience, it doesn't always go great. It's work. This is where the dedication comes in. One of my club coaches would say, "The time when you are totally spent and feel like you just can't do it anymore,
but you still do, that is when you really start to grow your skill. Anyone can do it when they are fresh and want to". Amen to that. Applicable to so many other things in life right? Marriage, parenting, sports, work, friendship.... and so on.
On a positive note we weighed in this morning and:
John lost 3.5 lbs
I lost 2.5 lbs
Very cool!
John did great today
This was me today

Honest and Intimate: I typically have my belt in notch (1) most of the time, shirt tucked or untucked, bloated or not. I can put it on notch (2) because it makes everything tighter and I think it looks better but it's really uncomfortable pretty much all the time. Today I'm in notch (2), sitting at my desk, no discomfort. (I cannot believe I am writing this stuff... I completely am aware of the fact that most of my male friends will make fun of me at some point about this blog. ALL IN, right?) At least I know it's working :o)
