10 Weeks Complete!

What is there left to say? Thank the Lord. Feeling better than I ever have, looking better than I ever have. Humbled, that as a trainer I couldn't do this on my own. My mind is clear, my body feels strong, my confidence is high. I am THANKFUL and GRATEFUL for this body. With 3 kids under my belt, my cravings under control, I'm excited for what lies ahead. Belly... gone. Broad shoulders... gone. Definition... finally visible. . Energy... more than I know what to do with sometimes.
Thank you for following us through this journey. We hope you were encouraged. We are not done yet, and will see what changes the Gamma phase brings. ~Michelle

12 lbs lost and over 11 inches!

My first post in 10 weeks and I just want to make a few bullet points about what I've learned through this.
     1. Don't be afraid to let down your guard and try something different. I fought the Beachbody concept for so long, ripped on the Shakeology without even trying it, thought "oh, I've done this before I know what I'm doing". WRONG. I don't run 3 miles a day, I don't have time to go to the gym or spend anymore time during the day away from my family than I already do. My old workouts were NEVER going to get me to lose weight like this, and I didn't have to desire to work on my diet and start my day with a healthy breakfast.
     2. Be committed! It's 10 weeks. Only 25 minutes a day. That's it! A lot of things were pushed aside to commit to 10 weeks. Mainly because the "other" things weren't giving me more energy, making me more focused, or positively influencing me and my family.
     3. Take it from me that I've tried pretty much anything out there. I have a cabinet filled with Protein Powder, creatine, Cell Tech, Nitro Tech, daily vitamins, Hydroxycut, Xandadrin, you name it I probably tried it. This works and it's so much more healthier than anything I've tried.
     4. Want some brownie points with your wife? Try doing T25 with her. Just as our relationship grows with the intimacy of praying and reading the Bible together, being devoted to something she may be interested in is WAY worth it. Also, don't be a punk about it. I could've taken things to a competitive level that would've ruined this whole journey. Work hard at something  encouraging one another and accomplish some goals together.
     5. Putting your health off is the wrong choice. Our kids are growing up so fast and I want to be around for them and be as healthy as possible for as long as possible. I'm already concerned a life of Asthma inhalers is going to have an effect on me, but the 2 a day Energy drinks, poor eating habits, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and lack of cardiovascular activity also plays a role. 5 years ago I felt invincible and have quickly realized we fade fast if we don't take care of ourselves. Don't wait too long and if I can turn this train around in 10 weeks anyone can.

It's been great talking to a bunch of different people who feel the same way I did. It's not fun and although it seems like a battle I was always going to be in there was light at the end of this tunnel. I'm sure they'll be ups and downs but we've made some lifestyle changes that we NEED to continue to keep. I'm so proud of Michelle and the dramatic changes she made. Seeing some of her "problem" areas disappear for the first time EVER was truly amazing and the self confidence gained physically and mentally is fantastic.

Looking forward to Gamma! ~John
