It's Friday! Today will be a much needed day of rest, and chillaxing. Today's Rip't circuit was good. Like I said it's my favorite one. I went up in weight and used the 10 pounders instead of the 5's. I'm a little sore from yesterday so I'm probably going to feel this tomorrow.
John rocked it, of course and we are committing to the rest of our 3 weeks left of great nutrition. Our diet is good, but could always be better and mixed up. I can currently only eat soft foods, so soups and pasta seems perfect right? Wrong. My body feels slower and softer after 2 days of eating those 2 things. Back on it!
It's great to eat salads all the time, but what's the fun in that? Mix up your healthy food to keep it fun and interesting and keep your menu growing. You know when you just don't know what to make so you just throw in frozen chicken nuggets and fries? Me too! But with a little extra effort (just 10mins) you can easily make your own chicken strips/nuggets (panko or breadcrumbs), and chop up some sweet potato fries.
I know it's more to do, but how much more, really? 10-15mins?
We are talking about what to do with all this candy. Our neighbor's school is taking donations, so we are going to donate half of each kids candy. They will pick out their own they want to keep and give away. Then we are going to count each piece, and I'm thinking for each candy they want to give "extra" away will be $1 each, they will then go get to pick out a toy or a birthday gift for Daddy. I'm sure they will not pick the latter, and will be able to get a $5-10 toy/markers/whatever, for themselves. Yes, it's more expensive for me, and it's more junk in my house, but it's less junk in their little bodies. I've gotta try an alternative, I'm not ok with 2 full tupperware bowls of candy in our house.
Feel free to try it and tell me how yours goes? Maybe it won't be money maybe it will be minutes? That's how many minutes they get mommy's attention for a craft or outside play. Run with it, I'm sure the more fun you make it, the more they will be into it. Happy Friday!
